Hackintosh

My friend is doing a film major and asked me to build him a hackintosh with 10.9 Mavericks, and so I did.

Honestly, this project was pretty disgusting. In short, I had to install Leopard, use that to install snow leopard, then upgrade snow leopard to Mavericks. Since this is a relatively new motherboard and Mavericks was released the week that I was building it, there wasn’t much documentation on how to do this. I also had to flash the bios with a patched version of the MSI bios because of a power management bug that doesn’t let you install Mavericks.
